The Global Call for Climate Action (GCCA) is looking to uncover some of the world’s most passionate Spoken Word artists who want to create poetry that aims to change the world.

As world leaders are preparing for the UN climate negotiations in Paris, we are on the search for poets passionate enough to trigger the change we need.

Starting from September 20, we will begin an open call for 2 minute poetry videos from around the world that highlight the impacts of Climate Change, and inspire climate action.

A select group of these poets will then be funded to create a series of amazing poetic videos that link directly in with some of the most critical climate campaigns around the world.

Finally, an all-star team of poets will be selected to travel to Paris with Marshallese Poet Kathy Jetnil-Kijiner to perform in key events ahead of the UN Climate negotiations in December.
